Stephanie Cheng enjoyed her time in Malaysia so much that she hopes to do it again after the pandemic.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who travelled to Malaysia as part of Open TV’s new show “Beautivels”, shared that she experienced a lot of new things during her time in the country and had since fallen in love with the varieties of durians she tasted during a trip to several durian orchards and restaurants.
“The owners were very hospitable and nice. They did not hesitate to provide a variety of delicacies and durians while I was there,” she enthused.
“It really opened my eyes. They have all kinds of durian desserts including fried durian, pizza, fried rice, milk shakes, and chocolate. I never expected that pizza and durian can be mixed together.”
Stephanie stated that by the end of the trip, she even packed four durians to bring home to Hong Kong so she could enjoy it on her own.
In addition to her durian experience, the singer stated that she also tried a lot of other things for the first time, including playing Flyboard, eating at a restaurant suspended in the air, and taking photos at the Sky Mirror – in which one’s reflection against the sky can be captured in the waters after the sea tide receded.
“I hope to have the opportunity to experience the journey again with my boyfriend soon,” she added.
