Vivian Hsu recently assured that she is fine now, after opening up that she had a thyroid cancer surgery earlier this year.
Sharing a photo of her in the Taiwanese city of Hsinchu on 6 November, she posted, “Let’s look at this photo. The wind in Hsinchu is so strong. Life has its ups and downs. Natural and man-made disasters and accidents are inevitable. Even if there is a headwind and the road is slightly bumpy, we have to live a good life every day. Keep moving forward with a smile and no regrets.”
Vivian said that she has always been someone who is very healthy, exercises a lot and pay great attention to nutrition and diet, being a mother of a young child.
“Unfortunately, it’s a bit of a family gene. Fortunately, the whole family has the habit of regular health check-ups. Only then can we detect and treat it early. Thank you to all the medical team for your care. I feel very lucky,” she added.
Vivian also expressed hope that everybody will go and have regular health checkups, especially since some ailments cannot be detected without examinations.
She also admitted that she was unable to perform for two to three months after the surgery and used that time to get better. After the wound healed, Vivian said she started taking singing lessons again.
“Don’t worry, I’m fine now. I know you’ll all catch me. Thank you also to all the friends who care. We all want to be safe, healthy and happy,” she added.
