After previously revealed that she will be making her debut as a director, Shu Qi has finally unveiled the first concept poster of her directorial effort, “Girl”.
The poster, which the actress-turned-director posted on her social media account, features a close up of a girl’s hand holding the finger of another person, with a caption that read, “I wish you a full moon reunion on Mid-Autumn Festival.”
She also confirmed the good news, saying, “I am very happy that the film has been completed and I am looking forward to meeting audiences from all over the world with this movie.”
Shu Qi, who has been in the film industry for nearly 30 years, has collaborated with many great directors throughout her career, from the likes of Mabel Cheung, Andrew Lau, Hou Hsiao-hsien, Jiang Wen, and Feng Xiaogang, which made her turn as a director something to be anticipated.
She is also married to actor-turned-director Stephen Fung, and has also starred in his helmer, “The Adventurers”.
“Girl” is executive produced by veteran Taiwanese producer Yeh Ju-feng, who has collaborated with the actress before on the 2017 film, “The Village of No Return”.
