Thai’s biggest hit of 2024, “‘How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies” is making its way out of Southeast Asia to the rest of the world.
Deadline reported that the movie has secured a theatrical release in the United States via Well Go USA, in China through Teamer Media, in South Korea via NK Contents, UK & Ireland via Vertigo Releasing, the Netherlands via Vedette Film, Belgium through Vedette Film and India via PVR.
The film has also already secured a release date in China on 23 August, followed by North America on 13 September, South Korea in October, Belgium in November and UK and Ireland in December.
No news as to the release date for India.
“How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies” has already accumulated USD 34 million at the global box office, making the film the highest grossing movie in Thailand. It also became the biggest Thai movie in Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Myanmar, Australia and New Zealand.
It stars singer-actor Putthipong Assaratanakul (aka Billkin) as M, a young man who moves in to take care of his terminally-ill grandmother (78-year-old actress Usha Seamkhum in her debut role), in a bid to win her inheritance.
