It looks like Celine Dion will be performing again, and she may be doing that this coming Friday (26 July).
As reported on Variety, the Canadian songstress was seen arriving in Paris on 22 July at the Royal Monceau hotel near the Champs-Élysées, with many speculating that she will be headlining the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.
It is noted that Lady Gaga, another pop icon who reportedly will be one of the performers at the event, is also staying in the same hotel.
It was back in April that Celine hinted about making her comeback in an interview with Vogue France, saying, “For four years I’ve been saying to myself that I’m not going back, that I’m ready, that I’m not ready… As things stand, I can’t stand here and say to you: ‘Yes, in four months’. I don’t know… My body will tell me.”
The singer, who has been away from the limelight since late 2022 when she was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, is no stranger to being a headliner at the Olympics. In 1996, she performed “The Power of the Dream” at the Olympic Games in Atlanta.
