Cheang Pou Soi (aka Soi Cheang) surprised many with his new movie, “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In”, when it was revealed that Aaron Kwok actually made a guest appearance in the film.
Audiences who flocked to the cinemas to watch the movie when it premiered on 1 May, were pleasantly surprised to see the Hong Kong superstar making an appearance as the invincible character known as “The King of Killers” who can fight alone against a hundred enemies.
It is noted that the producers have decided to set this important role as a hidden character, with no trace of Aaron in the movie poster or trailer.
It was reported that Aaron decided to take on the guest role because of his admiration for director Cheang, and quickly agreed after reading the script and the character setting.
The two also worked together in creating the look of this character. Finally, the styling department suggested that Aaron grow a moustache and styled it in a way that was popular in the 1970s, appear in a suit and classic oiled hair, and hold a murder weapon in his hand to show his killing momentum.
In the movie, Louis Koo plays Tornado, a martial arts master who works hard to protect the safety of the residents of the Kowloon Walled City. The film also stars Sammo Hung, Richie Jen, Raymond Lau and Philip Ng among others.
