Wu Kang-ren is not at all saddened by the fact that he had lost the Best Supporting Actor accolade to veteran Hong Kong actor David Chiang.

As reported on Mingpao, the Taiwanese actor, who was seen at the HKFA after party in Tsim Sha Tsui, said that he believes that David has done a great job in the movie “In Broad Daylight”, and doesn’t consider himself defeated.

“I even took the initiative to congratulate David on winning the award and said hello to him. He even expressed hope that we can work with each other next time,” he said.

Wu also expressed hope that he can work in more Hong Kong movies in the future.

“Where there is dream, there is hope. Where there is hope, there is opportunity,” he added.

At the same time, he also expressed happiness over his “Fly Me to the Moon” co-star Yoyo Tse winning Best New Performer. The actress bested other actors including Sabrina Ng and Hui Yuet Sueng to win the accolade.
