Zhang Yimou is set to be honoured at the upcoming Far East Film Festival (FEFF).
The Chinese filmmaker, known for movies like “Red Sorghum”, “Full River Red” and “House of the Flying Daggers”, will be receiving the Golden Mulberry Award for Lifetime Achievement alongside Taiwanese producer Chiu Fu-sheng.
It is noted that Chiu had also produced Zhang’s “Raise the Red Lantern” and “To Live”.
On the other hand, Jia Ling’s “YOLO” will be one of the two films that will open the festival, aside from Park Young-ju’s “Citizen of a Kind”.
The Italian festival, which will take place in the northern city of Udine, will be running from 24 April to 2 May.
