Former D1CE member Woo Jin-young recently announced that he is set to enlist in the military next month.
The singer shared the news on social media on 24 February with a heartfelt letter to fans saying that he will be starting his military duty on 4 March.
“I’m sure you’re surprised by the unexpected news, but as a proud South Korean man, I will go and return in good health,” he wrote.
He continued, “I will carry out my duty with determination so that on the day I return, I can greet you as a calmer and more mature version of Woo Jin-young. To the many people who have cared for me and supported me up until now, please be happy and have fun while waiting for me!! Stay healthy until the day that I return.”
Woo made his debut as A D1CE member in 2019 after rising to fame as a contestant on the second season of the survival show, “Produce 101”.
