Zack Snyder recently confirmed that a new poster and trailer for his version of “Justice League” will be released soon, with HBO Max preparing to release it in March.
The filmmaker, who left the project halfway through back in 2017 due to the tragic loss of his daughter and was replaced by fellow director Joss Whedon, had been spending months reshooting some of the scenes with the cast and repurposed the unused VFX shots for his version.
It would be his last chance to reveal his original plan for the DCEU after the franchise decided to go another direction following his previous departure. Snyder previously confirmed that he has no intention to continue the franchise after the cut is released.
The Snyder Cut will be released in March as one long film |
Originally planned as a four part series, “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” will now be released as one four-hour film, and will be of the many attractions to hit HBO Max this year. The movie was a product of years-long campaign made by fans who wanted to see how “Justice League” would look like if Snyder completed the movie.
It is noted that Whedon previously injected more humour and colours into the dark tone of Snyder’s original film when he came in as the filmmaker’s replacement back in 2017, differing heavily from Snyder’s vision that sparked a huge debate within the fandom.
Fans were unhappy with Joss Whedon’s take on the franchise earlier. |
