Aaron Kwok’s camp recently assured that the singer is fine, following an accident that occurred during the final race of the Macau Touring Car Race.
As reported on Mingpao, the 58-year-old multihyphenate, who drove the No. 88 Lynk & Co 03 car as a guest driver of the Shell Teamwork Lynk & Co Racing, lost control of his car during the fifth lap as he exited the Lisboa corner, and collided with Norris Racing Honda driver Chan Chun Leung.
Both of them were forced to retire from the race. Aaron Kwok was given an additional 30 seconds penalty.
When asked about the accident, his manager Siu Mei stated that collisions are part and parcel of the racing world, but that it was just a small scratch on the rear of the car this time.
“Aaron is completely okay. Thank you for your concern. The most important thing in the competition is sportsmanship. Aaron is very happy to participate in this event and gained a lot of practical experience. He is not disappointed at all,” she said.
Kwok finished 17th in the said race. He also raised over HKD 1,000,000 for his charity fund through the race.
