Karena Lam has recently made her first public appearance since announcing her divorce from director husband, Steve Yuen.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who put on a light makeup and a simple white tee and jeans, appeared in front of the media as she attended the art exhibition, “White Echoes”, where she presented her ceramic arts, alongside two other artists – photographer Yu Ho Yeung and artist duo Cowrice.

Karena shared that she became interested in pottery three years ago, and chose to work with black clay this time to correspond to the theme of the exhibition.

“Although some people say that black symbolises darkness and negativity, I think black has warmth, weightlessness and is not negative,” she said.

Karena stated that it only took her more than a month to create her art, and said that pottery is a great way of healing for her, and that it made her very focused and more understanding of perception.

On the other hand, when asked about her current mood, following her divorce announcement, she smiled and responded, “I’m okay. I am here for the exhibition.”

It was back in late July that Karena released a joint statement with her husband, saying that they have decided to end their 12 years of marriage. The two are parents of two children, Kaya and Sofie.
