Aaron Kwok is keeping his mouth shut about whether or not he will be performing at this year’s TVB Anniversary Awards.
As reported on Mingpao, the Cantopop King was previously rumoured to appear at the annual awards as a mystery guest performer, following Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau, and Leon Lai’s previous appearances at TVB’s large-scale programmes.
It is said that the broadcaster is keeping it on the low in order to surprise the audience.
When asked about it during an appearance at an event in Tsim Sha Tsui, Aaron neither deny nor confirm the rumour, saying only that he must respect TVB.
“I am from TVB, so you know that I care about them. The 55th anniversary is a very special day and my seniors and teachers from my training days will be attending too,” he said. “Since I became an actor and singer, I haven’t had a chance to see them, so I am eager to do that.”
As to whether he will perform, the singer stated, “I will let TVB announce that.”
