Nearly a year after he went MIA following suspicion of soliciting a prostitute, it looks like Chinese renowned pianist Li Yundi is back to working again.
The news was shared by some netizens in Australia, who shared that they were watching Maksim’s performance when they found Li’s name in the list for 2023 performances.
According to the list, Li is set to perform in Sydney from 1 to 5 November 2023, with the organiser describing him as “one of the most acclaimed classical pianists of his generation”.
Following news of the upcoming event, netizens took to discussion forums to discuss the issue, with many saying that Li might have no problem performing outside of China since he was never banned from outside the country.
It was back in October last year that the Chinese media reported that Li was detained alongside a 29-year-old woman, both admitting to their alleged behaviour. He was not seen in public since.
