India is set to release its first Korean remake via ZEE5’s “Duranga”.

The series, which stars Gulshan Devaiah and Drashti Dhami, is an adaptation of the K-drama, “Flower of Evil”, which revolves around a seemingly perfect marriage between a lady detective and her husband who becomes a suspect in a murder investigation.

“Duranga” is the result of the adaptation, and is set to premiere via the Indian video streaming platform, ZEE5.

“The vivacity of Asian culture and its inherent similarities is one of the key reasons for Korean content finding a huge fan-base in India,” said Hindi Originals’ CCO, Nimisha Pandey of ZEE5. “With such high affinity, we are delighted to announce Duranga and we hope that Duranga receives as much love and success as Flower of Evil has with the audiences.”

It is noted that the series was also remade into a Filipino drama by ABS-CBN, starring Piolo Pascual and Lovi Poe, and was aired back in June.
