Singer-turned-activist Denise Ho was reported to be one of the four people who have been arrested in Hong Kong over national security issue.

As reported on Epoch Times, the news was revealed by UK-based human rights group Hong Kong Watch, saying that Denise was arrested alongside Cardinal Joseph Zen, lawyer Margaret Ng and scholar Hui Po-Keung by the HK National Security Police for allegedly colluding with foreign forces to endanger China’s security.

This reportedly is alleged to be related to their roles as trustees of the 612 Humanitarian Relief Fund; that is responsible for the collection and raising of funds for lawyers’ fees for the arrested protesters during the anti-extradition protests in Hong Kong.

It is noted that Denise had just celebrated her 45th birthday the day before.

Denise reportedly has already been released on bail alongside the others, but that her travel documents will be confiscated.

This is not the first time that the singer has been arrested by the police. Back in December last year, she was detained for 36 hours, and went on to hold her online concert following her release.
