After being stranded in her home country for two months, Serene Lim is elated to finally be able to return to Hong Kong for work.

As reported on Oriental Daily, the Malaysian-born actress shared the good news with the media, saying that she was at first worried that she would not be able to return to Hong Kong at all, after the HK government halted all travels due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases.

“I had to stay in Malaysia for two months and I didn’t want to delay or affect filming,” she said.

However, Serene – who returned to Malaysia to attend her sister’s wedding in January – finally realised that rather than worry too much, she should enjoy her time with her family.

She revealed that she used the free time she had by going to the beach, celebrate the Lunar New Year together with family, and even went mountain climbing for the first time in Malaysia.

“I like hiking in Hong Kong, but the mountain roads in Malaysia are relatively rugged. But the scenery is pleasant, so the hard work is worth it,” she said.

Serene is currently undergoing her quarantine in Hong Kong before she can get back to work.
