Sammi Cheng has recently taken to social media to express her sadness over the passing of late filmmaker Chor Yuen.
On 21 February, the Cantopop star shared a photo of the late director and wrote, “Farewell, Uncle Chor Yuen. At the beginning of my debut, I was fortunate to have performed with you in the TV series, “The Vampire Returns”. You were kind, humorous, and caring for the younger generation. Not only did I not feel any pressure at the time, I was even inspired to perform. I learned the meaning of being a professional from you.”
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for so many beautiful and unforgettable works that you’ve made throughout your life. May you rest in peace,” she added.
On the other hand, Nancy Sit, who worked with Chor in the long-running TVB series, “A Kindred Spirit”, stated that she is saddened by the news of his passing.
“His contribution to the entertainment industry will not be forgotten. He is a very successful producer and directed many excellent films. I benefited a lot from working with him,” she said.
Chor Yuen passed away on the afternoon of 21 February surrounded by his family. He was 87.
