Although it’s been a while since they worked together, Sanya Lopez is elated to be working with Rocco Nacino again in the rom-com series, “First Lady”.
As reported on Inquirer, the actress, who was paired with Rocco in 2016’s “Encantadia” reboot and 2017’s “Haplos”, stated that the actor’s addition to the cast is a welcome treat to fans of their former love team RocSan.
“We saw each other during the network’s New Year’s countdown special, but we still didn’t know then that we would be working together,” Sanya said.
“I’m grateful he accepted he role… Our fans are looking forward to this and excited for what the show has in store,” she added.
It is noted that Rocco, who was once romantically linked to Sanya, has tied the knot with professional volleyball player Melissa Gohing in January last year.
Asked about their reunion, the actor, who will play the role of Moises Valentin, a rising political figure who will develop a special relationship with Sanya’s character Melody, stated that he is proud to be one of the actress’ first leading men.
“I am excited to see how she will attack her character,” he added.
“First Lady” is the direct continuation of the previous GMA series, “First Yaya”.
