Following rumours of an upcoming wedding, Gillian Chung’s ex-husband Michael Lai recently confirmed that he and his partner Alice have registered their marriage and awaiting the birth of their baby.
As reported on Mingpao, the aesthetic doctor, who spoke to the media following the rumours, stated that Alice is more than three months pregnant and will be delivering their baby in mid-August.
“I am nervous but excited. It doesn’t matter if it’s a boy or a girl. The outside world says that I have been married three times, but this is my first time becoming a father. I just want to share the joy and happiness. I am really happy and I hope to get everyone’s blessings,” he said.
In a separate interview, Alice revealed to the Taiwanese media that Michael proposed to her before the Lunar New Year.
She also expressed hope to live a low-key life in the future.
“Michael is sincere and kind and has a good personality. I don’t know why there are a lot of reports smearing his good name,” she said.
Michael became a tabloid favourite after he was revealed to be dating Hong Kong singer Gillian Chung. He made headlines soon after when the marriage lasted not two years following a whirlwind romance.
