After the latest rumour of her supposed upcoming marriage with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt recently expressed her thoughts on people’s excitement over their romance.
In an interview with Film Companion recently, Alia stated that the whole thing “has become like the boy who cried wolf.”
“They are crying wolf so often that actually when I am supposedly getting married, people will think it’s a rumour and it will be great for me because no one will know,” she joked.
It is noted that back in 2020, Ranbir told the media that the two of them would have tied the knot already if not for the COVID-19 pandemic, but declined to share whether they have a new date for such an important event.
The couple sparked rumours of romance back in 2018 while filming “Brahmastra”, with Ranbir later telling GQ magazine that he is dating Alia.
The said movie, which has been shelved for a while now, will be released in September 2022. The film, directed by Ayan Mukerji, is an epic fantasy adventure starring Ranbir as Shiva, a man with supernatural powers.
The upcoming film also co-stars Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Ayan Nayak and Dimple Kapadia. Meanwhile, it was reported that Shah Rukh Khan is also making a special appearance in the movie.
