After not being able to return for two years, Ella Chen recently revealed that she and her husband Alvin Lai finally got to travel back to Malaysia for the Lunar New Year.
On 2 February, the Taiwanese singer posted a video of her preparing the dishes for the family, and wrote, “On the second day of the New Year, I went back to my mother-in-law’s house. I am out of control again!”
Ella said that she originally only wanted to make stuffed bean curd to relieve Alvin’s homesickness, but ended up becoming addicted and cooked seven dishes instead, including pork ribs, dried scallops, Japanese braised abalone, and even grilled Chinese sausages.
Fans took to the comments to praise Ella for her cooking, with some Malaysian fans suggested that they go for nasi lemak, seeing that it has been a long time since Alvin was home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
