After his Hong Kong concert has been postponed indefinitely, it was revealed that Taiwanese multi-hyphenate Jay Chou is having his Malaysian leg of the Carnival World Tour pushed to a later date – that is, nearly one year later.

The news was revealed by the event organiser/promoter, GHY Culture & Media, saying that the concert, which was originally scheduled for 19 February of this year, has now been postponed to 7 January 2023.

The company also stated that tickets that have been purchased through Ticket Charge will remain valid for the new date, while fans who are unable to attend the new date may submit their refund requests beginning 14 February.

“We thank all fans for your patience and continued support and hope to see you at the new date!” the company added.

The said concert is set to be held at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil.

It’s safe to say that by the time Malaysian fans get to watch him perform live, Jay will be a father of three, after recently announcing wife Hannah Quinlivan’s third pregnancy.

The concert in Malaysia was first scheduled for February 2020, but was postponed to 22 August the same year following the first outbreak of COVID-19.

It was later moved to 19 February 2022 following an extension of the movement control order (MCO).
