Jodi Sta. Maria couldn’t help but laugh at the notion that she is a favourite of ABS-CBN, being one who always gets a job with the network.
The actress, who spoke to the media during a virtual press conference to promote her new drama, “The Broken Marriage Vow” recently, stated that she doesn’t think ABS-CBN is being unfair when it comes to casting for shows.
“A lot of [actors] may have moved or not want to work in the first place due to the pandemic. So, there are some who are willing to work, so it is just a coincidence. Not because of favouritism,” she said.
Prior to her upcoming series, Jodi had two series during the worst of the pandemic. She was part of “Ang sa Iyo ay Akin” alongside Iza Calzado and Sam Milby, and before that, “My Single Lady” alongside Regine Velasquez.
In “The Broken Marriage Vow”, Jodi plays the role of Dr Jill Ilustre, whose life takes a different turn after finding out that her husband David (Zanjoe Marudo) is having an affair with a younger woman.
