Japanese airline All Nippon Airways (ANA) announced that it is unveiling an aircraft with a theme that revolves around the global hit anime series, “Demon Slayer”.
Beginning January next year, ANA is launching a partnership with the series, which will include several interesting features on board the Demon Slayer Jet One – an airplane that will be decorated with Demon Slayer characters from the anime on one side, and the manga version on the other.
“We are excited to partner with Demon Slayer to generate excitement and share Japanese culture with a wider audience,” said Senior Vice President of Customer Experience Management and Planning at ANA, Junko Yazawa. “At ANA, we are constantly looking for ways to improve the travel experience, whether that be through the expansion of our award-winning service, the extension of our hygiene protocols or new entertainment experiences.”
“We are confident that when our Demon Slayer-themed aircraft enters service in January 2022, they will offer a unique flight experience,” Junko added.
Aside from the said airplane, ANA will offer beverage cups decorated with “Demon Slayer” designs, as well as 18 varieties of the paper toy menko with images from the said anime, and a special in-flight announcement voiced by the characters.
It will also include all 26 episodes of season 1 of “Demon Slayer” for guests to enjoy, as well as music from the anime – both the original soundtrack as well as the live orchestra.
“Demon Slayer” is currently one of the most popular Japanese manga and anime series, with its 2020 film becoming the highest-grossing Japanese film, surpassing Hayao Miyazaki’s “Spirited Away”.
