Rabee’a Yeung is keeping mum regarding her recent post, in which she spoke about being shelved by her old company for refusing to undergo plastic surgery.

As reported on Mingpao, the whole issue sparked last week, when the actress took to social media to express her gratitude for her husband Tim Wong’s support for her throughout the years following his band Dear Jane’s recent concert.

In the long post published on 29 September, Rabee’a also wrote, “For a while, I was constantly forced by the old company to go for plastic surgery. Because I was unwilling to compromise, I was ruthlessly ‘frozen’ and had no income from work.”

“At that time, my husband was so kind and told me that he would use all his abilities to take care of me, and indeed, he absolutely fulfilled his promise to me and fortunately, my wonderful hosting career began immediately.”

Speaking to the media at a skincare brand event recently, the actress stressed that the said post was to emphasise Tim’s hard work and dedication along with his band mates and not about her past issue.

When asked if the old company mentioned in the post was TVB, Rabee’a, who was part of the company from 2006 to 2009, responded, “I have worked in many companies, not just one. Let’s not talk about it. All I wanted to say was that married couple must always support each other,” she added.

Rabee’a also stressed that she has nothing against plastic surgery, but that she didn’t need it, at least for the time being.
