Eddie Kwan has recently dismissed the notion that daughter Fabienne lost her chance to win the Miss Hong Kong pageant due to her having a tattoo.

As reported on HK01, the actor, whose daughter was placed in Top 5 of the recently concluded 2021 edition of the pageant, stated that tattoo is not as taboo as it was in the past and is considered a form of art.

“The fact is, a lot of stars have tattoos, so it should not be a disadvantage or that it is considered a bad thing. A beauty pageant would be emphasising more on having both beauty and wisdom,” he said.

Eddie also admitted that while he was disappointed that his daughter did not win at first, he has since felt differently as the loss would be a good experience for Fabienne to learn to further develop herself, especially now that she is signed with TVB.

“In the future, when you run into obstacles and failures, you would not fall that easily. It’s a good thing,” he said.

Asked if he will work with his daughter in TVB dramas in the future, Eddie said that he welcome it.
