Lena Headey, most known to fans for her role as Cersei Lannister in HBO’s “Game of Thrones”, is set to collaborate with HBO again in the upcoming limited series, “The White House Plumbers”.
The actress will be joining the likes of Domnhall Gleeson, Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux in the upcoming show that will revolve around the Watergate scandal.
The five-part series, which will be produced by “Veep” creators, will tell the true story of E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy, Richard Nixon’s own Watergate schemers, who unintentionally crumbled the presidency in their effort to preserve it.
Headey will play the role of Dorothy Hunt, a mother of four who becomes an asset to the CIA after finding herself tangled up in her husband’s plot.
Aside from the upcoming HBO project, Headey has also recently concluded filming her new movie, “Gunpowder Milkshake” co-starring Karen Gillan and Angela Bassett. She is also set to adapt kids’ horror book “Scary Stories for Young Foxes” into an animated miniseries with indie company, Boat Rocker.
