Celebrating her 43rd birthday on 31 October, Selina Jen surprised fans by announcing that she will discontinue her podcast, Yin Ren Er Jie.
As reported on Oriental Daily, the SHE member said that she came up with the idea of her podcast two years ago due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as many of her projects were forced to stop due to the situation.
She said that she used the podcast as a way to communicate with her fans, and sharing about her life, her pregnancy, the joy of being a mother and daily parenting. However, Selina said that now that she is a mother, she wants to focus on her son, whom she nicknamed Cashew.
“The biggest role now is to help Cashew grow up healthy and safe. I want to enjoy the parenting process. I am proud of my role as a mother. I feel fulfilled and happy every day. I am very happy. I hope to accompany my son completely and participate in every moment of his growth,” she said.
The singer continued that although the show often talks about children, she did not want it to become a parenting channel, so she made the painful decision to stop broadcasting, allowing the podcast to come to a perfect end on its two-year anniversary.
“It’s been great to be able to do this for two years. If there is a chance in the future, I will go on the air again to communicate with you,” she added.
