After disappearing from the public for several months, Jing Tian recently released a video on social media explaining her absence.
On 4 November, the actress posted a video of her on a hospital bed with no makeup on, saying that she just had a leg surgery and is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
Jing revealed that she had suffered from a long-term leg injury and had an operation three days ago. The pain of the wound was beyond her expectations that she had to rely on intravenous painkillers to relieve the pain in the early post-operative period.
However, fortunately, she no longer needed an IV drip and can now move freely.
As for rehab, the actress said that she would need three weeks of it before she can return to work normally, adding, “Don’t worry too much. Everything is well.”
After obtaining consent, Jing’s attending physician also posted an update, saying, “Thank goodness it was done now, if it was done later, the cartilage damage would be too large and it would be bad.”
In fact, Jing’s leg was injured many years ago. She once revealed that she had an oedema in her knee due to filming a fight scene in a costume drama. She was photographed continuing to film after the injury despite having to limp around.
