Denmark finds herself winning Miss Universe for the first time through blond beauty, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig.
Victoria bested 120 contenders to become the 73rd Miss Universe at the crowning ceremony held at the Mexico City Arena, as the animal protection advocate received her crown and sash from the previous winner, Sheynnis Palacios from Nicaragua.
First runner-up title was granted to Nigerian law student Chidimma Adetshina, followed by Maria Fernanda Beltran of Mexico.
Meanwhile, Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand became the highest finisher Southeast Asian beauty queen at number four.
This is the first Miss Universe pageant that featured women over 28, after the 2023 competition broke tradition for including married, plus-sized and transgender contestants.
