Tavia Yeung couldn’t help but laugh when asked about the probability of her being nominated Best Actress at the TVB Anniversary Awards this year.

The actress, who attended the press conference of her new drama, “Darkside of the Moon” recently, dismissed the notion that she and “Rosy Business 4” Nancy Wu will be leading the competition, being the two senior actors with the most interesting roles.

“Don’t say that. Every drama has its highlights and every actor puts in 100 percent effort. Everybody is competing healthily,” she said.

When mentioned the coincidence that she and Nancy are coming out with new dramas as they near the end of the year, Tavia laughed at people rehashing the old rumour of her and Nancy’s supposed conflict.

“It was so funny. There was no such thing at all. A few days ago, Nancy and I attended Roger Kwok’s birthday party. When we mentioned this incident, we both found it funny. It was just a misunderstanding,” she said.

When asked why they never clarified the reports when it came out, she said, “I called Nancy at the time and she said that it was not true and did not need to be clarified.”
