She may be the face of Melaka tourism, but Fan Bingbing has attracted attention recently by becoming the “unofficial” tourism ambassador for Kedah.
The actress, who had been shooting her first Malaysian-Italian movie, “Mother Bhumi” in the northern Malaysian state, recently went on a tour around Kedah alongside director Chong Keat Aun, taking beautiful photos for her social media account at the same time.
In one post where she and Chong posed together, Fan wrote, “Taking a break amidst the busyness, the director accompanied me on a tour around Kedah. After filming for so long, we finally had the chance to take a stroll.”
“While enjoying some delicious food, we also visited Kedah’s iconic attractions: Kedah Royal Museum, Alor Setar Tower, Zahir Mosque, and Pekan Cina (Chinatown),” she added.
She also posted several other photos of her enjoying her time visiting the Zahir Mosque, showcasing the beautiful architecture, while donning a hijab as a sign of respect.
“We stopped along the way, feeling the unique customs and culture of Kedah, and had a pleasant day,” she added.
In another post, Fan shared a video of her trying her hands on planting rice on the paddy field, at one point falling into the mud and enjoying every second of it.
