EXILE’s Atsushi recently revealed that he is coming back to the limelight after a long hiatus from work.
The singer shared the good news on social media on 27 September via Instagram, revealing that EXILE will be resuming their “Heart to Heart” tour around April or spring next year, and that he will also be returning to work.
“I apologise in advance that I’ll be prioritising the things that had to be cancelled before and then, after that, hopefully I can start planning more tours and events,” he expressed.
Atsushi, who experienced carbon monoxide poisoning in March 2023 and later revealed his Lyme disease diagnosis in September the same year, stated that he is doing much better now though he is being careful in his daily life to prevent symptoms from appearing.
He also said that a lot has happened since he put a pause on his activities.
“I spent much more time with my family, got to go on a meditation training in India, tried detoxing and got to spend time with friends as well. Tears welled up when I watched the summer fireworks with my nephew and niece. I also spent some fun times with Hiro-san, MATSU, USA, and MAKIDAI, and was reunited with the members of COLOR, whom I hadn’t been able to see much because of my busy schedule,” he said, adding that his hiatus did not go to waste.
“I’m sorry to have kept everyone who supported me waiting, but I feel that I can proudly say that this was a necessary time for my future activities as an artiste. I will announce the tour dates soon, by the end of the year, so please look forward to it,” the singer added.
