It was reported that ME:I member Tsuzumi will not be a part of the group for some time due to her recent health issue.

On 3 August, the official website for ME:I shared, “We would like to inform you that member TSUZUMI has been diagnosed with adjustment disorder and will be taking a long-term hiatus.”

It is noted that she had taken a temporary hiatus on 1 July due to poor health, and resumed her work afterwards.

“After returning to Japan, she was examined and diagnosed, so after discussing with all relevant parties, including Tsuzumi, we have come to this agreement. We hope to be able to report as soon as we have a timetable.”

The 11-member group ME:I was formed in December 2023 through the third season of “Produce 101 Japan The Girls”. Aside from Tsuzumi, the members consist of Momona, Ran, Cocoro, Miu, Shizuku, Ayane, Keiko, Kokona, Rinon, and Suzu.

They made their debut in April with the single, “MIRAI”.
