Actors Lin Yi and Vanda Margraf have been cast to star in the Chinese remake of the Korean movie, “The Classic”.

Retitled “Our Destiny” in Chinese, the drama recently shared its first teaser poster on its official Weibo account, with the caption, “Across time and sea, until I met you, I realised that some encounters are destined, as if two souls have been destined to meet and always accompany each other.”

Lin Yi, who will play the lead, posted on his Weibo, “In this midsummer, I met you and will remember you. Under the guidance of fate, Lin Junhe/Lin Shaomin is here, waiting for the destined one.”

The original stars Son Ye-jin and Jo In-sung

The original film, released in 2013, starred Son Ye-jin and Jo In-sung, and revolves around the character of Ji-hye, who, upon reading through a box of old letters belonging to her mother, realises that her own love story has similarities to hers.

The Chinese version will be directed by Mai Zi and written by Kong Yaya and Lu Anxian of “Someday or One Day” fame.
