It looks like Angelababy’s luck is turning around as it was revealed that her new drama, “Everlasting Longing” has been greenlit to be aired in the second half of the year.

Although the airing schedule is considered not the best of timing, it was still good news for the actress, as it meant that the Chinese censorship has approved her return to limelight.

It is noted that Angelababy was going through a rough time late last year after she was quietly being blacklisted on both the small screen and social media after she was accused of attending BLACKPINK Lisa’s Crazy Horse show.

The actress stars alongside Song Weilong

Despite the organiser themselves denied her attendance at the event, the actress found herself being banned on Weibo and edited out from her variety show, “Keep Running”, and subsequently had to leave the programme.

The upcoming historical drama co-stars Song Weilong and is an adaptation of Xi Juan’s novel, “The Stolen Bride”. In it, the actress plays the eldest daughter of a merchant family named Jun Qiluo, who meets and eventually falls in love with Xuan Lie, the leader of the Xuan tribe in the Beixuan city state.
