Organised by UnUsUaL Entertainment, Indonesian Music Festival will be taking over Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, 24 August 2024 at 7pm.
Kotak, formed on 27 September 2004, is a rock band comprising of vocalist Tantri (Tantri Syalindri Ichlasari), bassist Chua (Swasti Sabdastantri) and guitarist Cella (Mario Marcella). Known for their hits such as “Pelan-Pelan Saja”, “Masih Cinta”, “Tendangan Dari Langit” and “Aku Yang Tersakiti”, Kotak is sure to not disappoint festival-goers.
Kotak has received recognitions at a number of music award shows, including at the 12th Anugerah Musik Indonesia (AMI) for Best Solo/Duo/Rock Band along with Best Rock Album for their album “Kotak Kedua”. They have been named Best Newcomer Group/Duo at the 2009 Anugerah Planet Muzik (APM), as well as Most Favourite Breakthrough Artist at the 2009 MTV Indonesia Awards.
Fans of the song “Kemarin” by Ifan Seventeen get to feel the singer’s amazing voice live. After an unfortunate incident in 2018, Ifan has since embarked on a new journey as a solo act, performing the Herman Sikumbang-composed “Kemarin” whenever he takes the stage. The 41-year-old singer will serenade fans with popular hits of Seventeen such as “Cinta Jangan Disembunyikan”, “Akujira”, “Menunggu Kamu”, “Jaga Selalu Hatimu”, “Sumpah Ku Mencintaimu” and “Hal Terindah”.
Also set to entertain the crowd at Indonesian Music Festival is singer, composer and producer Marcello Tahitoe, 41, better known as Ello – who is also a vocalist of rock band Dewa 19 since 2022. The singer of Maluku-Batak heritage was born into a family of artists, his father Minggoes Tahitoe and mother Diana Nasution were popular singers of the 1970s.
Ello is a multi-award winner of Anugerah Musik Indonesia (AMI), having won Best Newcomer (2005), Best Pop Album (2005), Best R&B Production Work (2005), Best Solo Rock Artist (2016, 2019), Best Rock Album (2021) and Best of the Best Album (2021).
Some of Ello’s well-known songs include “Gak Kayak Mantanmu”, “Kisah Kita T’lah Usai”,“Benci Tapi Rindu”, “Takkan Ada Aku Lagi”, “Sorry Abis” and more. Before enlisted as avocalist of Dewa 19, Ello released six studio albums, including “Ello”, “Realistis/Idealis”, “TaubMumu”, “Jalur Alternati”’, “Antistatis” and “99”.
