Netflix has confirmed that the fourth season of “Bridgerton” will not be the season for Francesca, but the second eldest Bridgerton, Benedict.
In the announcement made by the streamer recently, it stated, “The fourth season of ‘Bridgerton’ turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict. Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down — until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball.”
The story of Benedict (Luke Thompson) will be based on the Julia Quinn novel “An Offer from a Gentleman”, which fans have described to be a more “Cinderella-esque” story.
No news yet as to who will play Sophie Beckett, the love interest for Benedict in the upcoming season.
Fans of the show had been expressing their annoyance over Benedict’s storylines for the past three seasons, with many describing how tired they were of him “being the community bike of the show.”
At the end of season three, Benedict ended his relationship with Lady Tilley Arnold (Hannah New), saying that he is not quite ready to settle down.
