Famed producer Shonda Rhimes seemed to be teasing anticipating fans who are waiting for part two of the third season of “Bridgerton”.
Rhimes, who executive produced the hit Regency-inspired Netflix series, revealed on the Today show on 4 Jun that she cried watching the final episode of the third season.
“We’re very secretive about it but I will say it is sexy and surprising in many ways. And also, I cried at the end. I found it very moving – and I don’t always cry. So I really got into it. I think it’s a beautiful story,” she said.
It is noted that the series released part 1 of Season 3 back in May after a two-year hiatus. The third season focuses on the friends-to-lovers plot revolving around the third Bridgerton son, Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan).
The last episode of part one ended with Colin admitting his feelings for Penelope and asking her to marry him without knowing that Penelope is the real Lady Whistledown.
The second part of Season 3 will drop on Netflix on 13 June.
