Hong Kong indie duo Per Se (stylised as per se) are now a part of Sony Music.
The duo, consisting of keyboardist Sandy and guitarist Stephen, recently held a press conference in Causeway Bay, where they spoke about the decision to finally sign on to a big label after several sleepless nights.
“We have been independent performers for 11 years. We used to have to save a lot of money in order to self-finance our songs. Now we have a company support and more resources,” said the duo.
per se also stated that they plan to release four new songs this year, and also hold a show at the end of the year.
Asked if they are worried that there will be a lot of constraints in making music after signing with a company, Stephen said that he is not worried, as Sony Music has promised to give them freedom in their music.
“We no longer need to worry about other things except our music. With professional help, we can focus more on making songs,” he said.
