The Spice Girls are celebrating their 30th anniversary with commemorative postage stamps.
The UK’s Royal Mail recently announced that it will issue several commemorative merchandise including stamp sets, posters, postcards, and collectibles, including the limited edition “Spice Girls Gold Stamps Set” featuring the issue’s stamps layered in 24-carat gold.
This is the first time ever that Royal Mail has dedicated an entire stamp issue to a female pop group.
The girl group also shared the good news on social media, saying, “Featuring some of our favourite live moments from the past 30 years and a miniature set, these limited-edition stamps are the perfect way to spice up your mail!”
Among the main stamps include their performance at the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games, and the 1997 Brit Awards.
Spice Girls, consisting of Baby (Emma Bunton), Posh (Victoria Beckham), Ginger (Geri Halliwell-Horner), Sporty (Melanie Chisholm) and Scary Spice (Melanie Brown) was established in 1994 and rose to stardom through their debut single, “Wannabe”.
