Selena Gomez has plans to retire from music after one more album.
The Grammy winner, who has been in the music industry since she made her acting debut as a Disney star, shared as much during an appearance on “Smartless” podcast, saying that she just wants to find something to settle on the older she gets.
“I do feel like I have one more album in me, but I would probably choose acting,” she said.
When the three hosts, Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett said that she doesn’t have to pick between the two, Selena responded, “You’re right, but I am going to want to chill, because I’m tired.”
The singer said that juggling her careers as both an actress and singer took a real toll on her health, and that she had to get treatment for her mental health and cancelled one of her tours once.
“I wanted to be an actress, I never really intended on being a singer full-time, but apparently that hobby turned into something else,” she said. “I don’t think I’m the best singer, but I do know how to tell stories and I love being able to make songs.”
Selena is one of the three stars of the award-winning series, “Only Murders in the Building”.
