Cath Wong’s mainland fans were shocked and upset after her Guangzhou concert was suddenly cancelled hours before it was supposed to start.
As reported on HK01, on 5 November, the organiser revealed that the show, which was supposed to be held at the Damai 66 Livehouse, was cancelled due to “unforeseeable circumstances”.
The organiser stated that fans who have purchased tickets will automatically receive a refund from the original ticket purchasing platform, and the sum will be refunded within seven working days.
“The preparations for this performance have reached the final stage and everything is ready. After receiving the notice, despite many efforts, we still cannot change the result. We once again express our regret and apology for this! Thank you for your support and understanding,” the organiser stated.
Meanwhile, it was reported that Cath will also be holding a concert in Foshan next month.
