Natalie Tong is set to return with a new project, though it will not be with her former station, TVB.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who appeared at a charity sale event recently, shared that she is currently negotiating with different productions for new projects, which include movies and TV series.
“It is expected to begin production by the end of the year,” she said. “It’s from an outside production. I don’t think actors should be restricted.”
As for her plans to write her own play, Natalie said that she has been immersed in doing so and will collect more information for it.
Meanwhile, the actress has also been using her free time for activism, having visited Bangladesh for a week to learn about the plight of local girls in the country.
“When I took a flight to Bangladesh, I realised that it took the same amount of time as traveling to Japan. The two places are like two different worlds. The local girls all know that they have to create their own fate. Without help, they are forced to accept child marriage at the age of 15 and have children before they are fully grown. But they are still very hopeful and active,” she said.
