It was reported that the release date of the upcoming movie, “Emergency Interrogation Room: The Final” has now been delayed due to the July arrest of Ichikawa Ennosuke IV.

As reported on Mingpao, the movie producers reportedly planned to reshoot all of Ichikawa’s scenes before releasing the movie to the public, and that it is expected that the reshoot will be done in December at the earliest.

Sources are saying that the production cost of the movie was as high as JPY 1 billion (USD 6.8 million) and that the producers have no plan to shelve the project as it is the finale of the hit drama series.

As for the actor who will replace Ichikawa, it has yet to be finalised, though rumour has it that the team is looking to cast either Takashi Sorimachi, Toshiaki Karasawa or Yuji Oda.

Back in July, Ichikawa, born Takahiko Kinoshi, was indicted for assisting the suicides of his parents – Kabuki actor Ichikawa Danshiro IV and mother Nobuko. Reportedly, the actor was also part of the suicide pact, but survived the failed attempt.

Prior to the attempt, the actor was accused of sexual abuse and bullying of multiple people by a weekly magazine.
