Mickey Huang is now under investigation for allegations of sexual misconduct, according to the Taipei District Prosecutors Office.
No further details were offered by the spokesperson of the Prosecutors Office, except that the Taiwanese TV personality has violated the Narcotics Hazard Prevention Act, the Child and Youth Sexual Exploitation Prevention Act, and the Criminal Code by committing an obscene act against a male or female against their will.
In response to the news, Mickey released a statement via his management that he will face the mistakes he made with courage and cooperate with judicial investigations.
“Mr. Huang thanks the public for their encouragement, and sincerely apologises to all those who have been hurt. He is also sincerely grateful to those who continue to care about and encourage him. Mr. Huang will sincerely reflect on himself, correct mistakes and learn his lessons. He also hopes that everyone can return to a peaceful life,” the statement added.
It was back in June that Mickey was accused of sexual harassment by a woman named Zofia, who claimed that the TV host committed sexual misconduct against her when she was only 17.
In response, Mickey admitted to the mistake and saying that he has tried to change after marrying wife Summer Meng, but went on to accuse multiple other celebrities in Taiwan for various misconducts.
