A 17-year-old blind singer from Indonesia has got everybody talking about her, after receiving the Golden Buzzer from “America’s Got Talent” judge, Simon Cowell.

The teenager, Putri Ariani, sparked awe with her rendition of Elton John’s “Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word”, which is the second song that Cowell requested from her, after she stunned the British producer with her first performance.

She later won the crowd yet again when she revealed that the first song, which she performed on piano, was a song she wrote herself.

“We’re all feeling the same thing,” Simon said. “You’re 17, you write songs, you’ve got an amazing, distinctive voice, and I mean really, really good. You have kind of a glow about you, and you’re waiting for something at your school. Tell me about it.”

Other judges, including Sofia Vergara, were also singing praises for her, with the actress expressed, “We are all mesmerised by you. Your voice, you’re an angel.”

Putri also revealed during the audition that her dream is to attend Juilliard College of Music once she graduates high school, and that she hopes to be a performer like Whitney Houston and win a Grammy.

It is noted that Putri Ariani, who was born prematurely in December 2005 and was diagnosed blind just three months later, won the second season of “Indonesia’s Got Talent” back in 2014, when she was only eight years old.
