Hikaru Utada’s new song, “Gold ~ Mata Au Hi Made~” will be used as the theme song for the movie “Kingdom: Flame of Destiny”.

As reported on Tower, the singer, who hasn’t released a new song for the past year, wrote and co-produced the song with AG Cook of “One Last Kiss” fame, and described it as her definition of happiness.

“I’ve created a song about what happiness means to me right now. Be sure to play it loud,” the singer added.

At the same time, the latest trailer video for the movie also used part of the song when it came out last week.

The upcoming movie, which stars Yamazaki Kento and Yoshizawa Ryo, follows Shin and Eisei as they stand on the battlefield for the first time to fight off an invasion by Zhao. The movie is set during the Warring States Period.
