Blackie Chen is planning to sue Taiwanese actress Tina Chou (also known as Da Ya), following her recent sexual harassment allegation against him.
As reported on Mingpao, on 28 June, Blackie and wife Christine Fan issued a statement via their legal rep, stating that Tina’s allegation against him was false and has severely damaged their reputations.
They also stated that a civil lawsuit was filed with the Taipei District Court in Taiwan on the same date, where they are seeking NTD 10 million from Tina to restore their reputations. If the couple win the lawsuit, they stated that they will donate the money to charities that protect women and victims of crimes.
It was back on 27 June that Tina accused Blackie, who was her former boss, of sexually harassing her after forcing his way into her hotel room while they were working in Hong Kong in 2012.
Responding to the lawsuit, Tina expressed, “I am feeling the suffocating pressure again, but this time I will be brave. See you at court.”
